Its St George’s Day Parade! Thank you to all of the Cubs that joined us in Walpole Park. You looked very smart indeed.

Tripod Challenge Kicks Off the Term!

Image
We were back after Easter with a bang at Scouts this week—starting the term with a classic pioneering challenge. Patrols had to build tripods out of poles and lashings strong enough to lift their whole team off the ground. The prize? Biscuits! There were some wobbly starts, a lot of teamwork, and some seriously impressive structures. One patrol managed to get everyone airborne and took home the win (and the first pick of the biscuits). Great fun, great skills, and a brilliant way to start the term!

Running Wild

Cubs launched into the summer with an evening filled with a series of challenges to test their individual skills and teamwork. The initial grumbles and lethargy during warm up exercises gave way to competitive spirit and technical prowess as Cubs tested their throwing, running and balance skills. It all culminated in a raucous game of bucketball.

Hello Summer!

For the first meeting of Summer Term, Walpole Scouts took advantage of our lovely surroundings in Montpelier Park to be outside testing teamwork and pioneering skills to construct tripods. First patrol to finish got first pick of the biscuits for an off the ground picnic but enough left for everyone. Even time for a game of capture the flag before dusk and the end of the meeting!

In glorious sunshine, all sections of 1st Ealing North got together for the Spring Group Camp at Walter Davies Campsite.    After investing six new leaders and declaring the camp open, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts went to work! Blind String Trail  Laser Tag Bouldering The FEN Games (First Ealing North Games) allowed all Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to work together in teams for some grand prizes (biscuits). Great fun to see all the age groups have fun together.    Dinner was followed by the traditional camp fire. Waking up...  Scouts made their own breakfast. Cubs made their own shelters   Cubs and Beavers tried out some Parkour in the forest.   Thank you to everyone who took part in this epic weekend. Hope to see you next year.  Want to see even more photos? See links below: More Beaver Photos - Link More Cubs Photos - Link More Scouts Photos - Link
