St Ben's get back to nature!

When you mix a handful of curious Cubs and a park full of mystery, you get an evening to remember—and this one ticked all the boxes for the Gardening and Environmental Conservation badges!

๐Ÿ“ Seasonal Food Table

Who knew fruit could be so dramatic? Cubs learned which fruits grow when, and several attempted to eat the props. Educational and nutritious.

๐Ÿ›Mini Beasts

Next up the cubs got to know all about the creepy crawlies that live in our gardens and outdoor spaces, and how they are vital to preserving the eco system.

They then  learnt about respecting the countryside via the countryside code: don’t litter, shut gates behind you, and definitely don’t chase sheep (yes, that’s a rule).

To finish the Cubs donned gloves and armed themselves with blue bin bags, and grabber sticks (supervised, don’t worry!), to litter pick the park like an eco-army. They picked, they cleaned, they found mysterious objects that raised more questions than answers.

Bonus points for finding bugs while litter picking—multitasking at its finest!
