1st Ealing North Cubs – Home Help Night Pt2
This week our Cubs jumped into another practical and hands-on Home Help session, learning skills they can use in everyday life. The pack worked brilliantly together, showing great teamwork, concentration, and a lot of enthusiasm as they tried out each activity.
We rotated through four key skills:
Ironing:
Cubs learned how to use an iron safely, smooth out creases, and understand why looking after clothes matters.
Hanging and Folding Clothes:
From T-shirts to jumpers, everyone practised the best ways to hang and fold clothing neatly. Many were surprised by how quick and satisfying it can be.
Washing Up:
Armed with warm water and plenty of bubbles, the Cubs rolled up their sleeves and tackled the washing up. They learned about rinsing, stacking, and keeping a kitchen tidy.
Making a Bed:
From putting on and straightening sheets, to arranging pillows, the Cubs showed real pride in creating a neatly made bed.
It was fantastic to see everyone gaining confidence and enjoying the challenge of learning new skills. These are simple but important tasks that help build independence both at home and in the wider world.
Well done to all our Cubs for their effort, teamwork, and positive attitudes throughout the evening.
Thank you to all the leaders and helpers.
