A note before we begin: the camp took place in March. The blog post, much like the washine up after a camp dinner, got left slightly longer than intended. Normal service is hereby resumed.
The 1st Ealing North Scouts joined Beavers and Cubs at Walter Davies Scout Camp for the Group's spring camp, a full weekend under canvas from Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon.

Saturday had plenty in it. Tents and shelters went up first, and the patrols settled in to their spaces. Laser tag sent the Scouts into the woodland to battle it out.

The highlight of the afternoon was the First Ealing North Games. The FEN Games are a group camp tradition: Beavers, Cubs and Scouts compete against each other across a series of challenges, and the mostly friendly rivalry adds an fun edge.

Dinner was cooked by the Scouts, and each patrol invited a leader to join them to eat and were treated to some interesting taste sensations. The campfire came with cinnamon apples. By ten o'clock the site was quiet.
Sunday brought a little rain. The Scouts lit fires, cooked breakfast, and set about taking down their tents and packing kit away.
The camp was a lot of fun, and a great opportunity to practice our skills before Summer Camp.
