This week, our Cubs have been busy working towards their Local Knowledge and Navigator badges.
We were delighted to welcome Dr Jonathan Oates, Ealing Council's archivist who gave us a fascinating talk about the history of our area and shared some amazing stories from years gone by. The Cubs asked lots of great questions and discovered just how much history is right on our doorstep.
The pack also learnt about Ordnance Survey maps, including the different symbols and features that help us navigate the countryside and towns. They enjoyed finding landmarks and understanding how maps can tell us so much about an area.
To put their new skills into practice, the Cubs created their own maps of Montpelier Park, carefully drawing paths, play areas and other key features. It was fantastic to see their creativity and growing confidence in map reading.
Well done to all our Cubs for their enthusiasm and teamwork—we're one step closer to earning our badges!
