Kandersteg: The Final Leaders' Instalment

What a final day!

The leaders were up at 5am to start packing. Thankfully, the rain had stopped, but it was still dark and everything was soaking wet. At 6am, the Scouts joined in and put in a massive effort to get everything packed as quickly as possible.

A special shout-out to the amazing cart team, who spent around two hours shifting all the equipment to the lorries. We even managed to squeeze in a little dance break in between to keep spirits high!

After a quick breakfast, the journey home began. First, a coach to Basel Airport, where our first flight was delayed. When we finally landed in Frankfurt, we had to speed through the airport and just about made the second flight—what an adventure right to the end!  There was just time to announce the final Francis' Fantastic Fact: that all Fantastic Facts are Fantastically Untrue!

At Heathrow, tired but happy Scouts were welcomed home by their families (and even some dogs!).

Everyone went to bed early—ready to rest before the very wet kit comes back after the weekend!

Thank you to Scouts and their families for making this trip unforgettable. We’re so proud of everything you achieved and the teamwork you showed right to the last moment.
