Glorious spring sunshine bathed the opening ceremony of our group camp at Walter Davies Campsite.
For the first time, we had four sections in attendance and were able to present special awards to leaders and young leaders alike. We also welcomed the 1EN Squirrels flag into the group in a special ceremony.
Tents were quickly put up
While Squirrels began with activities in the woods as well as learning some new circus skills
Beavers did the same
As well a bit of bouldering
The Cubs followed them with more balancing and spinning
Followed by laser tag in the woods
And the FEN (First Ealing North) Games
After all the activity, a filling dinner was needed to refuel mind and body
As temperatures dropped, the camp fire roared and warmed everyone up
It was a chilly start to the morning with ice on tents, but a hearty breakfast, a bit of exercise and some first aid skills set the Cubs on the right track

Beavers hiked and toasted marshmallows
